testing out new terrain

Building a versatile terrain is a must if one wants to recreate historical scenarios but there is a compromise to accept when compared to sculptured or one off  tables.Hexes are undoubtedly very versatile but it is not easy to blend well and shows off.
Well I tried to blend everything in by after laying the hexes an over layer is laid on top.
For this material I used a carpet under layer which is actually recycles textile woven in nylon and is very pliable to which I adhered a layer of cream coloured felt which was then airbrushed with acrylics.
I just did a quick set up to evaluate the results. We might designate crests with wool strings .I will also try alternate types of roads and streams.Any seggestions are welcome. This terrain was inspired by Bruce Weigle's fantastic work.
